Methodology

How We Calculate These Numbers

Order Increase Data

Grubhub reports 30–70% more orders for items with photos. Snappr found a 35% increase. Just Eat reported 4x basket additions. Our default of 25% is a conservative middle estimate.

Coverage Gap

The revenue lift applies proportionally to the portion of your menu that currently lacks photos. If 30% of items have photos, the increase applies to the remaining 70% that would gain coverage.

Photography Savings

If you currently pay for professional food photography, the difference between your current spend and the ImageSystems subscription is a direct, measurable saving. Photography savings are shown only when they are positive.

Important Caveats

Not all order increases are attributable to photos alone. Menu descriptions, pricing, restaurant ratings, and food quality all play a role. This calculator estimates the photo contribution only.

Disclaimer: Based on published data from Grubhub, DoorDash, Snappr, and Just Eat. Actual results depend on cuisine type, location, competition, pricing, and overall food quality. The default 25% order increase is a conservative estimate within the published 30–70% range. Not all order increases are attributable to photos alone — menu descriptions, pricing, and restaurant quality also matter. Photography cost savings are direct and measurable. Results vary.
